Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Very disappointing! Was our favorite pizza place but the quality has really gone downhill with their pizza. Thought there may have been a change in management but verified that there wasn't. Now we need to find a new place that can make a great pie!

Tried to call in a to-go order and was left on hold for 7 minutes. Snooty order taker could've cared less and didn't even apologize for her own lousy service. I assumed the food and delivery would be just as lousy so I took my business up the street and had a great experience.

Came in after finishing up our taxes. We were welcomed as we walked through the door by the manager, Mike. We placed an order for the two slice special with a drink. Pizza was freshly made, hot and crispy! I added pepperoni. Once our order was done, Mike brought it to our table and chatted us up about sports and college basketball. He brought us napkins and was very courteous and made sure to check back on us. The pizza was cooked piping hot and crispy, the way my boyfriend and I like it and tasted just like home. So when they say this is NY Style pizza, they mean it! They offer a wide variety of beer in their freezer and about 4 on tap. They also have wines at room temperature ready for anyone who would like to add a touch of class to their meal. I would suggest Renna's for any lunchtime run if you're ever craving a genuine NY tasting slice of pizza. The customer service is great, employees are friendly, and Mike is a very nice manager who made sure we were taken care of. The food is delicious (at least the pizza) and I wouldn't think less of the rest of the menu. After chatting with Mike, we found out that they do a lot of catering for Hampton Inn and an apartment complex located in the area. They are building their business by offering a superb product and great service. They are also connected to the Renna's in the town center and was curious to know if the service and product were as superior and of good quality as to be expected. Its good to know that he was concerned and looking for the feedback so he would be familiar with any complaints or compliments. Mike is a great manager and it was refreshing to speak to him and see how much he cared about his product. Come to Renna's. They will prove that their great tasting pizza isn't based on the water! (People say NY water makes the pizza taste better.)

Grew up in NYC durning 60's and 70's; this pizza is closest to it. Also, the sparse dinning room is spot on for NY pizza. Feels right I'm home. One thing though, they use fresh mushrooms, bummer! Should use canned, they taste way better!!!

Some people have really weird taste in pizza... I guess that is why Domino's, Pizza Hut and Papa John's are all over the place. Some love pizza places that close down... and they can never figure out why the place shuts down (maybe it was crappy pizza). This place serves good, tasty pizza... with no frills. It is a paper plate and plastic silverware place. It is casual... just good pizza. Get it? If you want something else, go somewhere else. But try the pizza here... you will like it; and, if you don't... (see Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's)

Renna's pizza is the best NY style pizza in town. Sometimes other restaurants come along and I give them a try. No one has consistently made as good a pizza as Renna's!

Ordered for the first time just moved here. Deluxe mushrooms on side Chicago cut paid almost 23.00 and this is what I got.. No mush on side not square cut and hardly any toppings.. I recommend any place but this settled for domino's

Try the cannolis! They're incredible. 'Pizza is truly the closest to NY/NJ pizza Ive had. I refuse to order pizza from anywhere else. Plain cheese or added ricotta as a topping is my "go-to" but Im sure anything is amazing. Ill definitely be sampling different menu items in the future - never a disappointment. PS- Wayyyy better than Al's!

Felt compelled to give a review, some of the best pizza in Jax. Does truly taste like authentic NY pizza

Their pizza is one of the best I've had in jacksonville beach by far. D and lp is good but extremely soggy and wet. ALS pizza is extremely average compared to rennas. Rennas pizza has a very distinct taste that you will not be disappointed with. It's a true New York style pizza. I would recommend the buffalo chicken pizza they make it a lot better than the one compares to mellow mushrooms. Also to top it off the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The girl with the freckles is one of the nicest people I have ever meet and she's a looker. I highly recommend this place for anyone who truly appreciates a very good pizza. Needless to say I'm a pizza advocate and have tried slices from almost everywhere on the beach and this place takes the top by far .

Ordered 4 different pasta meals last night at 7pm, nothing really was worth ordering again: 1. Chicken Parm-the chicken seemed as if it was cooked 2 days prior and reheated in microwave. Just like biting into rubber, my brother ate 2 bites and trashed it eating just the spaghetti 2. Eggplant Parm-forgot the spaghetti, dad finished it but he eats everything 3. Lasagne-extremely similar to that you buy in frozen section of Walmart, my wife ate half 4. Kids spaghetti: best value as same size as other meals. Good meatball(1), but sauce was overloaded with salt and no ital seasoning. 5. Garlic cheese bread-foil baked into the bread, tossed half bc couldn't separate the foil from the bread 6. Salads-decent if you like a lot of onions which we do so those were enjoyed. May try the pizza at some point but go next door to publix and get frozen pasta, cheaper and taste better

I love experiencing new pizza places whenever I travel by myself, so when I found myself on this business trip to Jacksonville and staying on Ponte Vedra Beach, I thought I would try Renna's. the online experience is okay, but the fonts are chosen more for aesthetic than for function and some of the links took extended time to load. The menu itself was well written and easy to follow once it loaded. The staff that I interacted with were very nice and helpful. The delivery person had experience with this area and was able to find my hotel room easily. She was on time with the delivery as well. The order that was delivered was close to what I ordered but not exactly right. Instead of the garlic knots which I ordered, I received cheese sticks. I did receive the small white pizza, and 12" sicilian with pepperoni, cheesy garlic bread, and cannoli were all delivered as I ordered. Don't worry, I didn't eat all the food, but I wanted to try the variety of things that Renna's Pizza had to offer. The cheesy garlic bread was really dry and burnt on the bottom. It was too tough to eat and I would not order this again. The cheese sticks were tasty but not anything particularly special. The white pizza was average. it is not thin like a NY style pizza as one of the other commenters suggested. It is more like a "hand tossed" pizza at a commercial pizza chain like dominos or pizza hut. The pizza had decent flavor, and average crust, but it was certainly nothing truly great. The sicilian pizza was quite bad. The crust was dry and overcooked. It was too tough to break off a piece let alone crunch with my teeth. The flavors of the toppings were average and expected. Given how bad the crust was, the pizza in my room right now is essentially inedible. Now, the highlight...the cannoli. This is really really tasty. There are chocolate chips in the cream filling, and the crust was crunchy but not dry or overcooked (like the other items). It was sweet without being overpowering. I would go for this dessert again. In fact, I would have rated the food a 1 star but I gave an additional star because of the cannoli experience alone. I would not recommend this place for anyone if my experience is representative of their quality. The courteous staff cannot make up for bad food. Go to Dominos and have tasty edible food even if it is common.

We have been customers for years and while the service was usually so so...the quality has now gone down hill. Just had a plain cheese pie delivered. As usual asked for it to be Well Done. For the second time in a row...it was barely half cooked. When I called to let them know they suggested I turn my oven to 450 and cook it some more. They also told me they don't cook them well done because most people don't like it that way. I reminder the manager that I ASKED for it to be Well Done. After being on hold for 3 minutes the manager came back and said she would give me 10% off my next pie. Really!? As a customer I am only worth $1.37? Lest you think I am being to harsh...I asked my 10 year old what she would do...she promptly responded "bake you a new pizza". Smart 10 year old.

I was too early to check in my hotel, so I needed a place nearby where I could stop and eat lunch. I had the lunch special. Two slices and a coke for $6.25, plus tax. Not a bad price... However, the pizza crust was stretched real thin. Not quite the "New York Style" I remember when I visited New York. You really should eat this with a knife and a fork to avoid the cheese sliding down onto your shirt. No self-respecting New York is going to his slice of pie with a knife and a fork! The staff was friendly enough and the place was nice and clean.... the food tasted okay, but didn't live up to my expectations... sorry Renna's!

Moving down from Staten Island, finding good pizza was nearly impossible. Tried Al's pizza and rather eat the box it came in than the pizza itself. A close friend of mine, who also moved down from New York, recommended Renna's. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The crust was fresh, the sauce was homemade with the herbs and flavors coming thru the way God intended. The gentleman up front was very attentive and polite. Once he knew it was my first time, he came back to the table to make sure everything was made to satisfaction. The fact that he was a fellow New Yorker certainly made me feel more at home. He made sure to tell me that everything is made fresh including meatballs and bread! I've been back at least once a week ever since. If you're a Northerner who is struggling to find good pizza like I did, Renna's Pizza is your answer!!

Delicious pizza!

i was very glad when renna's opened up at the beach. having had pizza at the town center location many times, i thought i would be a frequent customer. been to the beach location 3 times now and each time disappointed. pizza pretty tasteless. has to be eaten with a knife and fork because there is hardly any crust toward the middle of the pie - nothing to support the cheese and sauce when you lift it from the plate. i'm afraid they are not going to make it at this new location unless they improve their pizza. also, they are not very visible from the outside -- hard to tell they are even there or open. i hope they make improvements to their pizza formula and their visibility problem -- i would like for them to succeed and not follow the path of the other businesses that have tried and failed in that same spot.
